Background
Okpai kingdom is a town in Ndokwa east LGA of Delta state. The town consists of indigenous Igala and other tribes. One of the towns, Okpai-Obeze was founded by an Igala man called Ezemigba (Eje-megba in Igala version, meaning “The King knows the time”). The traditional leader of Okpai Kingdom is HRM Eze Goldring Enebeli Ugbome II. And for the record, Okpai-Obeze is the 8th Igala town in Delta state. Our Okpai Igala people, knowing where you are is the first step and visiting you is the next step, pls expect us soon. We in Kogi, the home of all Igalas love you, and we appeal to you to now give your children Igala name for the recovery of your Igala identity. Learning of Igala language by adults to enable them teach their children is very important as is done in Illah now. Pls, interact with us, and let’s get reunited because Igala is one blood.
