High Chief Gabriel Evwreme is indeed a colossus and renowned son of Olomoro Kingdom in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State. He is a grassroot leader to the core and an agro-allied business magnate with business interests that are strategically domiciled in within the Isoko nation and other communities within the Niger Delta region. An encounter with him would surely leave one with a positive impression as he exudes both grace and humility, borne from his deep passion for the cultural values of his people and an uncommon passion for agricultural activities. He is an excellent business leader and manager of man and material resources and once served as the Councillor representing his Ward at the local government level and also as the President General of Olomoro kingdom.
High Chief Gabriel Evwreme has received several awards and recognitions. He currently holds seven traditional chieftaincy titles from several kingdoms in the state. His nomination as a Niger Delta Peace Legend is another well-deserved feather added to his cap in recognition of his contributions towards peace and human capital development in Delta State and indeed the Niger Delta region.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO PEACE, AND HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT
High Chief Gabriel Evwreme has undoubtedly contributed immensely to human capital development in Olomoro kingdom and indeed Isoko ethnic nation. Through his agro-allied franchise, he has provided jobs and means of livelihood for youths and families across Isokoland. He has over 1000 strong work force of both full time and part time staff in his palm tree plantations and warehouses and has succeeded in keeping them away from crime and youth restiveness. He also supports other farmers in the region and provides soft loans to help them thrive in their farming business. In 2023 alone, he has already given out soft loan worth over N3million to several farmers to grow their business.
Today, High Chief Gabriel Evwreme is an authority in farming and in agro-allied business from his practical and hands-on experience.
During his time as the President General of Olomoro kingdom, High Chief Gabriel Evwreme ensured that peace reigned supreme in the kingdom. One of his achievements include drafting and signing into law the present constitution being used in guiding the affairs of the community. He continues to serve as a sounding board to the current executives and recently waded into a crisis that led to the burning of the civic centre in the community.
High Chief Gabriel Evwreme has received several awards and chieftaincy conferment from several kingdoms in the state. He is the Ubide and Ugeje of Olomoro Kingdom. He is also the Awotu of Uyede Kingdom, the Oghonofurhie of Okpe Kingdom, the Obruche of Erewa Kingdom and the Ologbotsere of Ndokwa kingdom. It is noteworthy to state that none of this conferment was lobbied for. All came in recognition of his contributions towards the economic empowerment of these kingdoms.
High Chief Gabriel Evwreme has no plans to rest on his oars. He intends to use his new recognition as a Niger Delta Peace Legend to promote cultural values, discourage mass emigration of youths to western climes and to speak against corruption.
