CHIEF WILSON EDJEBEN OGHENEBRUME
Chief Wilson Edjeben Oghenebrume is a man who has indeed distinguished himself in various works of life. He is an astute businessman and an illustrious son of Udu kingdom who noble deeds have become a major point of reference across the kingdom. He has made significant impact upon the lives of many individuals through his philanthropy and has not relented in using his personal resources to fund major infrastructural projects across Udu kingdom and even in other cities where he had lived. His nomination as a Niger Delta Peace Legend is truly deserved because of his outstanding contributions towards the promotion of peace and community development within and beyond the region.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO PEACE, AND HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT
Chief Wilson Edjeben Oghenebrume hails from Aladja community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State. However, he sees himself more as a son of Udu kingdom and has not limited his noble works to his home community alone. He has carried out infrastructural development across several communities in Udu kingdom including the renovation/rehabilitation of the popular Udu Bridge, provision of street lights and provision of potable water. He has also carried out several road projects around the neighbourhoods where he lived in Ondo and Rivers states. All of these projects were carried out at his own expense.
Chief Wilson Edjeben Oghenebrume has great respect for the elderly. His foundation runs a special healthcare program for selected senior citizens drawn from various communities in the region. He partners with a well-known private hospital in Udu axis that attend to their healthcare needs. Other categories of persons do enjoy from this medical gesture as well. He recently paid for the medical bills for a major cancerous operation for a lady and also provided wheelchairs to some physically challenged persons.
Chief Wilson Edjeben Oghenebrume is passionately committed to philanthropic activities and believes the common wealth of a society should not be domiciled in the hands of a few. He continues to bring succor to many as God helps him and plans to carry out more infrastructural development across Udu kingdom.
