Chief Ifeanyichukwu Oyibo is a distinguished community leader and beloved son of Owa Kingdom in Ika North East local council area of Delta State. He is also a seasoned civil servant and a senior member of staff with the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue. His humanitarian gestures and his contributions towards peace and human capital development within and around his home community and Ika nation in general has gained attention and has brought about his nomination as a Champion of Peace and Community Development in the Niger Delta region.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO PEACE, AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Chief Ifeanyichukwu Oyibo’s contributions to peace at the communal level is quite immense. He has been involved in several peace building initiatives in Owa kingdom and Ika nation at large. From inter-communal disputes over land boundaries to economic issues affecting indigenes, Chief Ifeanyichukwu Oyibo has been a beacon of peace and conflict resolution. He has also devoted his time and resources to advancing the agenda of His Royal Majesty, the Obi of Owa Kingdom. Since his installation as a chief (the Ogutomuko of Owa Kingdom) in September, 2013, he has gone on to represent the kingdom in various capacities at several forums.
Chief Ifeanyichukwu Oyibo also possesses a deep passion for humanitarian activities. He has several students that enjoy scholarship from his personal resources. He also serves as mentor and sounding board to youths in his community and immediate environment.
Chief Ifeanyichukwu Oyibo is always cheerful and easy-going. According to him, he does good not for the sake of any man, but because of his commitment to God. He plans to use his new recognition as a Niger Delta Peace Legend to engage more with other communities and adopt values as well as developments that can be replicated in Owa Kingdom.
