Chief Francis Ogbodo is an astute businessman and a renowned community leader from Oleh in Isoko South local council area of Delta State. He is well regarded for his sincerity and love for the truth. Over the years, he has dedicated his time and resources towards promoting peace within and beyond Isoko nation. He has also displayed unwavering commitment towards sustainable human capital development in his home community as well as to acts of philanthropy to individuals and indigenes across various communities in the Niger Delta region. CONTRIBUTIONS TO PEACE, AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
Chief Francis Ogbodo has contributed immensely to peace and human capital development in Isoko ethnic nation as well as the three Senatorial districts in Delta State. Through his business interest scattered across communities in the region, he has been able to provide job opportunities and provide means of livelihood to families.
In the area of community development, Chief Francis Ogbodo has also displayed sagacity in leading youths and other well-meaning individuals in ensuring that his home community of Oleh and its neighbouring towns benefit from infrastructural and other developmental projects from the government and its parastatals. His contributions in this regard have seen him receive various accolades. He was recently installed as the “Idudu” (One who reveals truth) of Oleh Kingdom.
Chief Francis Ogbodo is also well regarded for his peace-making ventures within and outside Isokoland. He did serve in a committee that was set up to bring peace during the height of the Ijaw and Itsekiri crisis in the early part of the 21st century. He was also involved in resolving a long-standing crisis in his community that arose over the installation of the Odion-Ologbo. His ability to mediate and get to the root of the matter played a great role in ending this particularly conflict.
Chief Francis Ogbodo is also well known in Okpe kingdom. On numerous occasions, he has been called to intervene in matters over land disputes and other forms of misdemeanours. He enjoys access and has regular audience with His Majesty, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom by virtue of his economic contributions to the GDP of the kingdom.
Chief Francis Ogbodo has a deep love for the culture and traditional values for his people. He plans to use this recognition to promote the cultural heritage of Isoko nation as well as provide more job opportunities to individuals across the Niger Delta region.
